As we all know by now, Jose Mourinho will serve a touchline ban this weekend for our game against Stoke and Jamie Redknapp insists the players must take full responsibility for their manager for the game.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Redknapp said without Mourinho in the dugout, it’s solely up to the players to perform and amid speculation of the Portuguese manager’s time at the club running thin, it’s up to the players to save his job.
After beating Dynamo Kyiv on Wednesday, the players can take some confidence into the weekend and hopefully build on it.

There are a lot of damaged egos in that Chelsea dressing room.
Redknapp also suggested some players may feel tense and uptight, just like Jose, and without him on the touchline, they may be able to play a more free-flowing game with less worry. It’s simply another must win for Chelsea.
He believes Chelsea can still finish in the top four this season, but they need to get a consistent run of positive results starting as soon as possible.
If they can replicate the performance at least that they showed against Stoke last month, they’ll hope to come away with a result.
Willian has been hitting the headlines for Chelsea recently, Redknapp admits he is playing with confidence, but not everyone is.
While Willian seems unaffected by the team’s problems – he’s been playing brilliantly – others have had their confidence knocked.

Redknapp has predicted a Chelsea win for the Saturday evening kick-off. He also revealed Frank Lampard will be a studio guest on Saturday Night Football on Sky Sports.
