Trabzonspor are set to complete a permanent transfer for the services of Chelsea’s on-loan winger, Marko Marin, according to a report from Turkish sports newspaper AMK.
Now 26 years of age, Marin’s career has been plagued by injuries and has found himself hopping from one club to another via the loan system from parent club Chelsea.
Indeed, including Trabzonspor, Marin has been loaned to four clubs since his transfer to Chelsea from Werder Bremen in 2012 including Sevilla, Fiorentina and Anderlecht.

However, the winger has regained fitness and settled well to life in the city of Trabzon, Turkey. Marin has one goal to his name and two assists thus far this season, with Trabzonspor currently sitting ninth in the table – something Marin wants to improve.
I came here to become a champion and I want to be part of the big plans we have here we are not where we want to be in the league but we will turn things around.
Trabzonspor hold the option to buy Marin for a set fee of €4 million, with the clause understood to remain active until the end of the season.
Marin is not the only former blue at the Black Sea Storm club, with José Bosingwa (pictured above) enjoying his third season with the club.
