Thibaut Courtois has provided Chelsea with some good news, saying that he is on course to return to action in December.
The Belgian goalkeeper has had surgery on his right knee after he suffered ligament damage in training, and he has now started his rehabilitation regime.
He said:
In terms of my knee, it is good. I am doing my rehabilitation and it is progressing fine. I will be starting the bulk of the work with my physio to come back as soon as possible. Of course I still have to be careful not to go too quickly but all being well, I should be back in December.
Chelsea allowed Petr Cech to leave in the summer, and brought in Asmir Begovic from Stoke City to replace him, and Begovic has seen plenty of action thanks to the injury suffered by Courtois.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina goalkeeper has played pretty well for The Blues, but everyone at the club will be looking forward to Courtois returning to action, as he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
Chelsea have had a poor start to the season, so getting all of their first team players fit and firing is key as they will look to make up for their sluggish beginning to their title defence.
