Jose Mourinho has stated he is looking for an out-of-contract goalkeeper to join the club.
With number one Thibaut Courtois out injured for the foreseeable, Chelsea need cover for Asmir Begovic during what is set to be a busy period.

The Blues do have Academy product Jamal Blackman in the squad, but his inexperience could be Mourinho’s reservation.
Italian goalkeeper, Marco Amelia has been training with the club, as confirmed by Mourinho, and the experienced goalkeeper must now be favourite to be Chelsea’s choice.

The Italian has played for a number of clubs in Serie A, including Palermo, Genoa and AC Milan.
He’s also made 9 appearances for the Italian senior side, plus represented his country at all age levels between under-15 and under-21.
Other names bandied around have been Helton of Porto and Valdes, currently of Manchester United, but with Amelia already training with the club, it looks likely he’ll be the player to come in.
