AS Roma have today confirmed that they have signed both Edin Dzeko and Chelsea’s Mohamed Salah on permanent deals.
The Serie A club have used their option to make the loan deals for both Premier League stars permanent at the end of this current season.
Released by the Italian side, a financial statement has suggested that the duo will not return to life in England when their loan deals expire.
Scoring three goals in only five starts, Salah is soaking up life in Italian football.
Roma boss Rudi Garcia is adamant that both stars are worthy of their permanent deals at their new club.
Roma released an official statement saying:
These players were first signed on a temporary basis, which has been transformed into definitive transfers after planned contractual conditions were met.
Egyptian winger Salah didn’t have life easy at Stamford Bridge and, like Romelu Lukaku amongst others, wasn’t given a real chance to impress Jose Mourinho before being sold elsewhere after loan deals.
Last season, Salah was on loan in the Serie A but with Fiorentina where he bagged six goals in 10 starts.
