Chelsea have identified a possible alternative to Paul Pogba according to the Daily Star.
The reports claim that Jose Mourinho is ready to hijack Spurs’ interest in Southampton midfielder, Victor Wanyama. The Kenyan midfielder is looking to leave Southampton and was an on-going target for Tottenham throughout the summer.
A bid in the region of £20m is being discussed in a deal that has plenty of positives. Wanyama is proven in the Premier League and has starred in Southampton’s midfield.

Due to the Saints playing in the Europa League, Wanyama will not be cup-tied in Europe should he make the move to Stamford Bridge.
Despite having two years remaining on his contract at Southampton, Wanyama is ready to leave the club and take the next step in his career. The midfielder moved to the Premier League in 2013 for £12.5m from Celtic.
Whilst he is not quite Paul Pogba, Wanyama would be considerably cheaper with Premier League experience under his belt. Would he be a good signing for Chelsea?
