The ongoing saga between Chelsea and Eva Carneiro may finally be resolved as the former first-team doctor has now been recalled to the training ground in Cobham, according to The Telegraph.
The newspaper reports that Dr Eva Carneiro, who hasn’t been seen at Chelsea for over a month after being criticised by Jose Mourinho, has been informed that she needs to report for work at Cobham on Friday morning.
Dr Carneiro and her colleague Jon Fearn were on the end of Mourinho’s fury on the opening day of the season, after running onto the pitch in stoppage time to treat the injured Eden Hazard.
Mourinho was clearly unhappy with the incident, as captured by the TV cameras, despite referee Michael Oliver gesturing for the medical staff to come onto the pitch for Hazard twice, as well as asking Hazard if he needed to receive treatment.

And the Portuguese boss was heavily criticised by many after suggesting that Carneiro and Fearn showed naivety and failed to “understand the game.”
Carneiro has since reportedly taken legal advice from Spanish law firm Mishcon de Reya, amidst reports that Chelsea are preparing to reinstate her away from her former role of first-team doctor; with some lawyers suggesting she would have grounds for constructive dismissal if that were to happen.
Fearn on the other hand has continued to work behind the scenes with the first team in the aftermath of the saga, though he too also had his responsibilities cut.
The Blues have previously refused to comment much on the matter, insisting the issue is an “internal staffing matter,” though Mourinho has previously stated publically that Carneiro could return to the Chelsea bench.

And the report even suggests the pair could return for Saturday’s early kick-off with Arsenal, though it seems that would solely rely upon whether Carneiro decides to return to Cobham this morning.
Should the physio turn up to work at Chelsea’s training ground, it may spell the end to what has been a turbulent opening month for the Blues, especially after Wednesday night’s morale-boosting 4-0 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv.
