Chelsea will join Manchester City and Real Madrid in the battle to sign young Spanish left back, Jose Luis Gaya in January according to fichajes.net.
The left back has caught the eye whilst playing for Valencia. The 20-year-old is regarded as one of the brighter young Spanish talents and his run in the Valencia first team reflects that.
Gaya came through the youth ranks at the Mestalla and has gone on to make 36 appearances for the La Liga side. Despite signing Baba Rahman over the summer, Gaya could be seen as a more long-term target.

One of the stepping stones that may need to be crossed is the youngsters’ massive release clause. Gaya’s fine form was rewarded in May with a new long-term contract, which included a €50-million release clause.
Gaya is yet to be capped for the senior Spanish side, despite being called up to the senior squad for a friendly against Costa Rica. He has featured through the youth levels from U17s to U21s.
