Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino believes Jose Mourinho’s miserable start to the season will continue against Arsenal this weekend, according to The Express.
The Blues have had a woeful start to their title defence this season, losing three of their opening five league games, and Cascarino believes it could get even worse for Chelsea this weekend.
Speaking to talkSPORT, he said:
I’m not convinced by what I have seen from Chelsea defensively. If you are leaking an average of two goals a game, you are in trouble as a team.

At the moment, Chelsea are having to score three and maybe even four goals to win a football match. It doesn’t feel like Chelsea have got enough to get over Arsenal.
Arsenal could easily go for the jugular. They have got loads of pace. They have got a poor record [against Chelsea] but it just doesn’t feel like a Jose team that we have seen for many years at the moment.
Chelsea usually head into a home fixture with Arsenal full of confidence, and the Blues are unbeaten in the last seven meetings between the two.
However, should Newcastle beat West Ham on Monday night, Mourinho’s men could slip into the relegation zone ahead of this weekend’s fixture, whilst Arsenal occupy fourth spot in the Barclays Premier League.
First up for Chelsea, however, is the opening fixture in their UEFA Champions League group against Maccabi Tel-Aviv, a fixture that could prove trickier than it seems on paper.
Arsenal meanwhile faces a trip to Dinamo Zagreb in their opening Champions League fixture.
