Asmir Begovic
It’s hard to force too much blame onto Begovic. All three goals you wouldn’t have expected him to save and a few other saves stopped the score from really becoming embarrassing for Chelsea. 6/10
Branislav Ivanovic
I don’t even think I’m being too harsh on Ivanovic when I give him a 3/10. Another two goals coming down his right-hand side taking his tally of errors to upwards of six goals already. Maybe it’s a little too harsh on the Serbian considering he definitely shouldn’t have been anywhere near the starting XI today. 3/10

Kurt Zouma
From the opening fixtures, Zouma has been one of very few players who have come out with any form of credit. He ruined that all today. Beaten in the air by none other than Steven Naismith for his second goal and looked horrible every time he had the ball at his feet. 4/10
John Terry
The returning captain had another game to forget. One of the league’s best players last season has begun this season in the worst possible way and looked utterly hopeless when trying to cope with both Lukaku and Naismith. His positioning has been praised over the last number of years but today for Naismith’s third, he was caught watching the ball. 4/10
Cesar Azpilicueta
Probably the best player in the back four, which he seems to have done every week so far, but far from his best. Dealt reasonably well with Aaron Lennon once he came on and limited Seamus Coleman to very few crossing opportunities. Still think it’s time for the Spaniard to move to right back. 5/10
Nemanja Matic

Probably the best Chelsea player out there today, typified by his goal that nearly gave the champions a lifeline. Helped massively by playing alongside John Obi Mikel where all the defensive work wasn’t down to him and looked much stronger because of it. Hopefully, we don’t see him alongside Fabregas for a while to come. 6/10
John Obi Mikel
I’ve never been a huge Mikel fan personally, but I think he was one of the best of a very, very poor bunch today. Alongside Matic, he did exactly what we’d been asking Fabregas to do in attempting to sure up the back four and I think we looked even weaker once he went off. 5/10
Pedro
I don’t want to expect too much too soon from Pedro, but from the standards he set at West Brom, he was well below that today. Looked eager to get on the ball but very rarely did anything with it, but maybe more to do with the lack of movement around and ahead of him. 5/10
Cesc Fabregas
Moving him forward to the number 10 role hasn’t seemed to have improved Fabregas’ performance as he put in yet another dreadful performance. I don’t know what’s happened to the man who fired us to the title last season. We desperately need the Spaniard to pick up his form soon. 3/10
Eden Hazard
We’ve set such high standards for last season’s player of the year that he simply hasn’t lived up to anywhere near those heights. Heavily criticised by Belgium manager Marc Wilmots during the international break, his form since day one this season has been awful. He doesn’t seem interested, doesn’t look like he wants the ball, and when he does, he walks with it, offering almost zero threat to the opposition. 3/10
Diego Costa
Another one in a long list who has been awful so far this season. He seems more interested in starting fights with whoever he can that actually helping the team. I personally think Falcao or Remy should be given a starting chance. 4/10
Kenedy
Another substitute performance from the Brazilian summer signing, and once again he looked very decent. Playing in a more natural wing role instead of the left-back he was used in against Palace. One of the only players who wanted to get on the ball and was eager to prove a point. Hopefully, he has a bright future at Stamford Bridge. 5/10
Falcao
Came on with twenty minutes to go to partner Diego Costa, he failed to make an impact. Missed a fairly easy header at 2-1 but didn’t do any worse than Costa did himself. 4/10
Willian
Offered very little up until now and wasn’t surprised to see him dropped. When he did come on and get his chance, he offered very little again, creating nothing in the 15 minutes he had on the pitch. 4/10
Overall, a hugely poor performance from the champions yet again but surely it can only be a matter of time until we see the back of Branislav Ivanovic and the wins will return.
