Chelsea’s deadline day signing Papy Djilobodji has not been included in Jose Mourinho’s 25-man squad for the UEFA Champions League. Matt Morlidge of the Daily Mail reports that the former Nantes man, who arrived from the top tier of French football for a fee of around £4million has been left out of the Blues’ setup.
However, fellow new signings such as Asmir Begovic, Pedro and Kenedy have been included to be in contention of featuring in Europe’s top footballing competition, as has Monaco loanee Radamel Falcao.
Mourinho will be hoping to take Chelsea all the way to the final for the first time under his management, and will be hoping to become the
first ever manager in the history of football to win the trophy with three different clubs across the continent.
