Chelsea has reportedly opened negotiations with Zenit St Petersburg over a deal for Ezequiel Garay.
According to gianlucadimarzio.com, Jose Mourinho has approached the Russian side, as they continue to search for defensive reinforcements. The report states that the Argentinian defender is also a target for the Italian side, AS Roma.
The defender has impressed in Russia and for Argentina at the 2014 World Cup, making him a target for numerous clubs around Europe.

Chelsea are thought to be in pole position to sign the defender, with talks progressing between the two sides. However, no fee has been reported as of yet.
Chelsea are on the search for defenders, and it now looks likely to be a three horse race between John Stones, Varane and Garay.
Garay would add experience to the current squad, as opposed to the youth of Varane and Stones. Who would you like to see Chelsea sign and for what price?
