UPDATE:
Spanish media outlet Marca are reporting that Pedro to Chelsea is a done deal. The report goes on to say that the Spanish side and the Premier League champions struck a deal late Tuesday night. The reported fee is €28m plus another €2m in add-ons which is around €5 more than what Manchester United were offering, who were odds on to sign the winger.
Barcelona have given Pedro permission to fly to London to undergo his medical, where he is currently situated. For Manchester City, Marca suggest that they failed to offer a formal bid for the Spaniard.
Ian Ladyman has today reported for the Daily Mail that while Barcelona winger Pedro already seems to be on his way to Manchester United, Chelsea are planning to steal the Spaniard away from their rivals. Jose Mourinho was previously keen on bringing the winger to Stamford Bridge to bolster his side’s attack earlier in the summer, but his interest subsided. However, after the way The Blues’ season has begun so far, the Portuguese boss might have reevaluated his options.
Simon Johnson of the London Evening standard made an interesting point on Twitter a little while ago:
told last month Cfc would only go for Pedro if either Cuadrado or Moses left.wrote today that cfc now prepared to loan Cuadrado.good timing?

Manchester United still remain favourites to sign Pedro, even more so after executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward reportedly flew to Barcelona on Monday to hold extensive talks with the Catalan club regarding the winger’s services.
Could Jose Mourinho’s diabolical plan include loaning wantaway winger Juan Cuadrado out and replacing him with Barcelona’s seemingly forgotten attacker Pedro? Only time will tell, but it appears that Chelsea are willing to battle fellow English giants Manchester United for the Spaniard’s signature.
