Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has revealed he has a plan to handle Chelsea’s fierce striker, Diego Costa. Speaking to Manchester Evening News, Kompany said: “He (Costa) has an edge to his game that makes him a player to be careful with.”
Costa was in the thick of the action throughout the game last season. Costa and Kompany endured a thrilling battle throughout the game in a duel of two ferocious players. Costa was also involved in the clash with Pablo Zabaleta, which saw the defender sent off.
Kompany went on to say: “His record speaks for itself. It’s all you need to know about him. He finds these pockets and is incredibly efficient and deadly.”

“Sometimes don’t get involved too much. Play the right amount of game with him and focus on what you have to do after that.”
The Manchester City captain likened Costa to the likes of Rooney and Luis Suarez. “I think he’s a special breed of striker. (Wayne) Rooney has that edge, so does (Luis) Suarez.”
