Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Abdul Baba Rahman from Augsburg. Augsburg confirmed the deal via Twitter.
The defender signs for Chelsea for a fee believed to be in the region of £14m which could rise to £20m. The defender impressed in the Bundesliga last season and has caught the eye of several clubs around Europe. Chelsea have supposedly beaten off interest from AS Roma and PSG to secure the left back who comes in to replace Filipe Luis, who has returned to Atletico.

In 31 league appearances last season, Rahman managed 4 assists and was given an impressive 7.37 rating by WhoScored.com. At the age of just 21, he has represented Ghana on 10 different occasions. The left-back arrives at Stamford Bridge hoping to add fierce competition for the left back spot with Cesar Azpilicueta.
The Spaniard has been formidable in the Chelsea defence, one of the factors that saw Filipe Luis move on so swiftly.
Is this a good singing for Mourinho’s side?
