Chelsea have almost completed to the signing of promising Brazilian youngster Kenedy from Fluminense, according to the Mail Online.
The winger was with the Blues on their pre-season tour of the United States and featured for 45 minutes against Barcelona. Jose Mourinho, impressed with his talents, now has the option to pay £6.7 million to bring the 19-year-old to Stamford Bridge.
That was the price agreed with his current club – but work permit issues have stalled the deal. Today, those issues have been ironed out and the deal is almost set in stone.

Unlike other young Chelsea stars such as Patrick Bamford, he won’t be loaned out this season, according to Jose Mourinho:
“We don’t want him to go out on loan, I think we have what the rules demand to get him a permit – we bought Kenedy because we believe in him”.
Nathan, a fellow Brazilian ‘wonderkid’, was immediately sent on loan to partner club Vitesse, but it seems that Mourinho would rather Kenedy battles Willian, Moses and Traore for a place in his starting eleven.
