Jose Mourinho has described Chelsea’s lack of activity in the transfer market as ‘dangerous’ according to John Cross of the Mirror.
After lifting the Premier League trophy during his second season since his return to the club, many expected Mourinho to make significant additions to his current Chelsea side.
Mourinho has added Radamel Falcao and Asmir Begovic to fill the spaces vacated by Petr Cech and Didier Drogba. Mourinho and Chelsea are yet to find a replacement for Filipe Luis. Whilst the club have also brought in Danilo Pantic and Nathan, subsequently, both have been sent to Vitesse for the season.

This lack of business has caused concern from fans and pundits who have already questioned whether Mourinho will be able to defend his crown. The concern grew as rival teams have strengthened significantly.A deal is also in the works to bring in Brazilian talent, Kenedy. Whilst the Blues have seen their pursuit of John Stones go public after two rejected bids.
Mourinho has responded: “It’s dangerous. I think what you are saying, that saying, is right. You say if you stand still you get worse. It’s right.”
“But the same people can move forward. You don’t need to buy 10 players to be a better team. You can be a better team with one or two new players and be a better team, with the same people.”
Mourinho is hoping his players can reach another level: “The advantage, I hope, the biggest advantage is for them to think together and say together ‘my club and my manager they trust me so much, they were so loyal to me and they want to show me that they have a good memory.”
