Forget the fact this is a pre-season tour, forget that Chelsea lost their last outing against New York Red Bulls. Jose Mourinho’s men should need no extra motivation to bounce back against PSG this evening.
Chelsea were knocked out of the Champions League in disappointing fashion against the French side, despite not even losing a game in Europe last season and will surely be looking to set the record straight. Jose is likely to rotate his squad, in attempts to get minutes under everyone’s belt. However we could expect a stronger starting XI than the team the started against the MLS side.
Despite returning to the squad, our South American stars are unlikely to feature much, if at all for Chelsea, with Mourinho hoping to get them involved against Barcelona.
PSG come into the game on the back of a game against Serie A side, Fiorentina. The French side beat Juan Cuadrado’s former side 4-2, with two goals coming from Jean-Kevin Agustin at the Red Bull Arena.
The game is being shown live on Sky Sports and ChelseaTV. Unable to watch the game tonight? Be sure to stick around for our match day live blog, with all the build up, reaction and live commentary throughout.
