Augsburg have set their price at £17.5m for left back Baba Rahman according to The Gurdian.
The left back has been widely tipped to be Chelsea’s next arrival after the club agreed a deal to sell Filipe Luis back to his former side, Atletico Madrid. Baba Rahman has impressed in the Bundesliga this season, attracting interest from Roma and Juventus. The player himself is thought to prefer a move to the Premier League champions though.
Augsburg are bracing themselves for a £14m bid from Jose Mourinho’s side, however the club are waiting for a slightly higher fee. The defender had previously attracted interest from the Premier League, with both Manchester City and Arsenal thought to be keen, however both teams cooled their interest.
Reports suggest the club are likely to accept a bid for the player slightly below their asking price with the player keen for a move away.
