However Anthony Chapman of the Express is reporting that Chelsea are looking to snap up a much younger player, French u13 starlet Naoui Ahamada.
The young midfielder has been dubbed ‘the new Yaya Toure’ and is one of the most promising youngsters coming through the ranks in French football.
Playing his club football for SC Air Bel, it’s no surprise that the current top 3 teams in the Ligue 1 are fighting it out for his signature too.
PSG, Lyon and Monaco however are only a few of the many clubs chasing Ahamada.
Chelsea are very close to winning the race as French journalist Florian Fieschi is claiming that the blues have offered a very tempting offer and is apparently close to being accepted.
