Chelsea have agreed a deal for Radamel Falcao according to Sky Sources. Falcao became available following an unsuccessful loan spell at Manchester United. Chelsea have been in the market for another striker after club icon Didier Drogba announced his departure.
Sky Sports revealed that the striker was in talks with a host of clubs previously, however Chelsea was thought to be his preferred destination.
Falcao will join Chelsea on loan with a view to buy at the end of the season.
The deal came as a surprise to many fans after the strikers uneventful spell at Manchester United. Falcao made 14 appearances under Louis Van Gaal and scored just 4 appearances. After failing to find consistent first team football since returning from the serious injury that saw him miss the 2014 World Cup, Falcao hasn’t found the form he enjoyed at the likes FC Porto and Atletico Madrid which saw become one of the most deadliest strikers in the World. Falcao famously scored a hat-trick for Atletico Madrid against Chelsea in the 2012 European Super Cup.
