The writing has been on the wall for a week or so, but it has finally been made official; Cuadrado is coming to Stamford Bridge. The Colombian international has joined the Blues on a reported fee of £24M.
Cuadrado began to draw serious interest after summer’s World Cup, as he put in a string of impressive performances.
Manchester United and Barcelona have both showed interest, but a move to either side never materialised.
As an added bonus Cuadrado is not cup-tied for the Champions League, and so will be available for selection against PSG.
The former Fiorentina winger has played in 17 Serie A matches so far this Serie A campaign, amassing four goals and four assists. His productivity could hold the key to solve the ineffectiveness of Chelsea’s right-hand side.
Cuadrado will be available for selection when Chelsea face Aston Villa on Saturday.
